About Me

Hello!

My name is Danya. A twenty-one year old girl, who up until now has led a relatively simple and mundane life. Like many I've always had one oxymoronic problem; I hated redundancy but feared change.
But that's no longer! As I'm about to embark on one of my first (hopefully among many)journeys- studying abroad in Japan!

So now you may be thinking, another redundant study abroad blog?

Yes. Yes it is. So far at least.

But I hope that even if you haven't studied abroad or never intended to or are interested in Japan or not you can relate to something here. Whether it be my journey towards change or my charming personality and astounding wit. ;)

I want this blog to change into something more, a collection of my travels big and small,  documentation of the irrelevant and laughable situations I  find myself in, and perhaps an inspiration. That if a homebody, dyed-in-the-wool type of girl like me can do something like this then well, any one can. Am I selling myself a bit short?

What you'll find here: I plan on chronicling my travels around Japan, interesting things about Japanese culture, what its like being an exchange student, and living with a host family all tossed in with some advice I'm most likely unqualified to give! :D

Also, if you have any questions about me or anything study abroad/Japan related feel free to leave a comment or send me an email!
